How we started
The family business of Derrick Purdue and his sons, Sinclair and Julian, started out in small premises, with 3 staff members, in 1982 in Cape Town’s CBD, importing and assembling CISA padlocks.
Their passion was to supply high quality locking devices in South Africa, whilst creating employment that was fair and uplifting. Our people, been given the opportunity, have grown from general workers to become sales managers, credit controllers, supervisors, master key planners and product specialists.
Today, D. Purdue & Sons is the proud sole importer and distributor, into South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa, of CISA branded locks from Italy, stocking over 3500 CISA products. We currently employ 80 staff members at our Cape Town Head Office, with offices in Johannesburg and Durban.
